Thames Tideway Tunnel West - The secondary lining works have started!

The 7km long west section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel from Acton Storm Tanks site in West London towards Carnwath Road Riverside in South West London is being delivered by the BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall, Balfour Beatty joint venture.


The secondary lining works have started with the successful completion of the first block at the Acton end of the tunnel.
KERN Tunneltechnik has engineered and supplied the most automated formwork system available on the market with live data analysis and PLC control units, comprising of 6 hydrostatic shutters, to support these works.
We are all extremely proud to have achieved this milestone and look forward to the completion of this key element of the tunnel construction activities.
