KERN MSV in action for ARGE ROSE

KERN Tunneltechnik is supporting the ARGE ROSE project in the modernization of the St. Gallen tunnel. The refurbishment works include upgrades to tunnel systems and infrastructure, such as ventilation, drainage, safety installations, and other structural improvements required to ensure the tunnel's long-term operation.

To support the execution of these works, KERN has deployed two specialized tunnel solutions: the Slab Transporter and the MSV. Together, these machines contribute to the safe and efficient handling of materials and tunnel components throughout the project.

The Transporter is used for the removal of existing intermediate ceiling slabs and the installation of new ones. Equipped with hydraulic supports and cylinders, the system is designed for safe handling, transport and positioning of slab elements throughout the refurbishment process.

The MSV is used to transport materials, equipment and heavy components required for the tunnel refurbishment works. The vehicle plays a key role in supporting daily operations and keeping the ARGE ROSE project on schedule.
