Gubrist Tunnel - Welk Precast Completion

The successful completion of pouring the last pre-cast culvert element for the first Gubrist Tunnel was achieved, marking a major milestone in its renovation journey. Since the mobilization of the "Welk" precast factory in late 2022, a total of 1239 elements have been produced according to schedule, covering over 3.0 linear km of tunnel.

This goal underscores KERN's commitment to engineering solutions, with its state-of-the-art Pre-cast Factory, Invert Bridge and MSG playing a pivotal role in ensuring performance & efficiency throughout the construction proces and maintaining the highest quality standards without losing a single production day.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our amazing team who have delivered the works with a report of zero issues throughout the entire 16 months of operations.
