Supplied equipments: The 7km long west section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel from Acton Storm Tanks site in West London towards Carnwath Road Riverside in South West London is being delivered by the BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall, Balfour Beatty joint venture.

KERN Tunneltechnik has engineered and supplied the most automated tunnel formwork system available on the market with live data analysis and PLC control units, comprising of 6 hydrostatic shutters, to support these works.
The Ø6.5m fullround formworks are moved and set by 2 multifunction gantries.

The system has been completely pre-assembled and tested in our workshop at KTS.

Furthermore KERN supplied a Logistic Crossing to handle the 350m3 of concrete required every day.
