Project information: Refurbishment of the Gubrist Tunnel - one of Switzerland’s busiest road tunnels, originally opened in 1985. The project involves upgrading the existing two tubes by improving the clearance (lowering the carriageway by 30 cm and raising the intermediate ceiling) as well as enhancing safety with 22 new SOS niches in the second tube and refurbishing 24 existing niches in the first.
