Project information: The Fehmarnbelt Tunnel is an 18-kilometer immersed tunnel under construction to connect the Danish island of Lolland with the German island of Fehmarn. Upon completion, it will be the world's longest immersed tunnel, accommodating both a four-lane motorway and a dual-track railway. The project aims to significantly reduce travel times between Scandinavia and Central Europe, enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth in the region.
