Project information: The "H53 Pfons-Brenner" construction lot is a significant segment of the Brenner Base Tunnel project. As the largest construction lot on the Austrian side of the project, it encompasses the excavation of approximately 25.2 kilometers of main tunnel, extending from Pfons to the Austrian-Italian border at Brenner.

The scope of work includes the mechanized excavation of 15.2 kilometers of main tunnel using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) directed northward, and an additional 10 kilometers of main tunnel excavated through drilling and blasting methods. Furthermore, the project involves the construction of 1.3 kilometers of exploratory tunnel and 2.6 kilometers of cross-connecting tunnels.
