Frogmore Fullround System - Factory Acceptance and Test

The Frogmore Fullround System successfully passed the tests on the 3rd September.
Frogmore Connection tunnel is part of the Tideway project.


It was installed a mock-up with jobsite segments in order to carry out a full scale trial an simulate a complete cycle.


Site program required a high production rate for the two tunnels, 500m and 600m long.
The No.4 fullround shutters are designed to work with the hit / miss methodology.

Given the tight tolerances and the small dimension of the tunnel, the Engineering invested a huge amount of hours to develop a bespoke and innovative solution to comply with the requirements.


A complete process simulation and risk assessment have been part of the complex development.
