Barn Elms - Tunnel Formwork Commissioning
The fullround tunnel formwork, designed and manufactured by KERN Tunneltechnik for Barhale and the BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall, Balfour Beatty joint venture, has been successfully installed and launched.
The tunnel formwork, 6m long, is designed to build a final lining of 2.2m diameter of the Barn Elms sewage connection tunnel part of west section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel that the joint venture is delivering.
The machine is fully automated following KERN Tunneltechnick technology standards.
