ESCALATOR SECONDARY LINING AT LIVERPOOL STREET STATION

In April 2017 it was completed the Secondary lining in the escalator tunnel ES2. Kern Tunneltechnik provided the machine and the staff for the construction works. The Escalator Shutter, composed by the TSK system, was 3m long and able to perform one block every two days. Kern’s personnel carried out the concrete works without any issue and ensuring the high level of Health and Safety required in UK. The machine will be disassembled and relocated for the secondary lining works in the escalator tunnel ES3. More information regarding the Crossrail project can be found here.
